KINGS ARMS HOTEL

This page has extra help and information about this clue location, as well as extra things you might want to do while you are here.

You can find the image hint for the clue at the bottom of this page.

Before this building stood on this spot, a previous building The Old Kings Arms, stood here for 100 years. It was knocked down and rebuilt in 1801 by George Rose. A year later, it opened as a hotel known as Humby's, being run by Thomas Humby. It changed its name back to The Kings Arms, and is still a hotel today.

PHOTO CHALLENGE

Get some fun pictures of the outside of this building, and also from across the road. The bowling green across the road used to be part of the hotel too, and you can find the old sign on that side of the road. You can also get some fun pictures in all directions from the Town Bridge.
