Welcome to Christchurch Castle! Did you see the stocks where they would have held criminals and throw food at them? This castle once dominated the town of Christchurch, and a castle has stood there since 1074 AD, when it was a wooden structure built by William I. It has been captured and changed hands several times, and then in 1652, Oliver Cromwell ordered that it be destroyed so it couldn't be used to help Charles II get on to the throne.

Here are 5 different things you can take a photo of in this spot:
1. The Castle from the bottom of the hill
2. The Castle from the top of the hill
3. The Castle ruins from inside
4. You in the stocks on the path by the castle
5. A view of Christchurch from the top of the hill
