You can find the image hint for the clue at the bottom of this page.
Rententurm was constructed in 1456 and formed part of Frankfurt’s medieval fortifications. Its position near the river made it especially important, as traders arriving by boat would have entered the city close to this point. The tower helped control access and protect the city’s wealth, which flowed in through trade.
The name “Rententurm” comes from its later use as a place where financial records and revenues were managed, reflecting Frankfurt’s long-standing connection to commerce and administration.
If you look closely at the structure, you’ll notice its thick stone walls and narrow windows, typical of defensive buildings designed for strength rather than comfort. The tower’s rounded shape also helped it withstand attacks, showing how carefully these fortifications were designed.
Today, the Rententurm stands as a reminder of the time when Frankfurt was a fortified city, protecting its people and its growing importance as a centre of trade.

In this location, there are some great views of the Main river. Your challenge is to get a good shot of the river with a skyline in the background.
